The northern cardinal poses big and confident in his bright red robe and is always a show stopper. Even though I have painted this beautiful bird in many poses, and every season, I never tire of painting it. I had to paint'em again, but this time in the WPA technique using transparent watercolor and Bacardi Superior Rum instead of water.
